And the very first thought that struck me was "Is this iny time to die?"
5.      We saw the Indians coming; Our colonel gave command:
"To arms, to arms l" he shouted, "And by your horses stand."
6.     We fought them full nine hours Before the strife was o'er,
And the like of the dead and wounded I never saw before.
7. Lest this be your situation, Although you like to roam, I'd advise you by experience You'd better stay at home.
